Stem Cells, Brain Development and Regeneration

Organizers: Armen Saghatelyan, David Kaplan, Karun Singh, Anastassia Voronova

Date: May 21, 2025, Full Day

Location: Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel

Description:

The 7th satellite meeting on Stem Cells, Brain Development and Regeneration brings together Canadian experts and trainees working in the fields of neural stem cells, brain development and regeneration to exchange ideas and discuss recent data. The speakers are from multiple institutions across Canada and all career stages. They will discuss recent advances in the field of stem and glial cell biology, axonal growth and how the dysfunction in distinct developmental processes leads to pathological conditions. The speakers will also discuss novel approaches pertaining to the study of distinct developmental, pathological and regenerative processes. The topics span from the understanding of fundamental properties of neural stem cells biology (session 1), brain development (session 2) and regeneration and novel approaches (session 3). We hope that this meeting will further catalyze the interactions between Canadian neural stem cell researchers and provide a great platform to exchange ideas and develop novel collaborative projects.
