SATELLITE 1: Linking primate brain circuits to behavior: advancements and applications

Description: This symposium will focus on the direct link between brain activity and sensory perception and behavior. It will be of interest to researchers seeking to understand the neural basis of how we see, think and move about the world. Highlighted will be numerous Canadian systems-neuroscience labs applying techniques such as single unit neural recordings, fMRI, and TMS to understand brain circuits in human and non-human primates. The keynote will be given by Marlene Cohen, Department of Neuroscience, University of Pittsburgh. Registration includes coffee breaks and lunch.

SATELLITE 2: Neuroscience careers in government and industry

Date: Sunday May 25th, 9:30AM – 4:00PM

Registration Fee: $75 (CAD)

Description: This 1-day satellite will consist of short presentations from speakers representing a variety of sectors, discussing how they go to where they are, and offering advice to trainees interested in entering industry or government. Ample time will also be provided for informal interactions with the speakers.

Please note that this satellite meeting is limited to the first 100 people who register.
