CAN Advocacy committee membership application

The CAN advocacy committee is a sub-committee of CAN which advises the CAN board and executive committee on actions to promote neuroscience research and funding for fundamental research in Canada.

The committee is currently searching to renew its membership and to include scientists of all career levels, including trainees and young scientists.

Application deadline is August 25th, 2021. Your application will be reviewed by the CAN Advocacy committee, and you will be contacted with further information.

Career level
An early career researcher (ECR) is a researcher within five years of the date of their first independent research-related appointment.

A mid-career researcher is a researcher who, at the time of application, has assumed his/her independent research position 5-15 years ago.

A senior researcher is a researcher who, at the time of application, has assumed his/her first independent research position more than 15 years ago.
