Description: This symposium will focus on the direct link between brain activity and sensory perception and behavior. It will be of interest to researchers seeking to understand the neural basis of how we see, think and move about the world. Highlighted will be numerous Canadian systems-neuroscience labs applying techniques such as single unit neural recordings, fMRI, and TMS to understand brain circuits in human and non-human primates. The keynote will be given by Marlene Cohen, Department of Neuroscience, University of Pittsburgh. Registration includes coffee breaks and lunch.
Contact Erik Cook (erik.cook@mcgill.ca) for further information. Please note that this satellite meeting is limited to the first 150 people who register.
Sponsored by: Canadian Physiological Society, CIHR Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction, Canadian Action and Perception Network and FRQS Vision Health Research Network of Quebec, York University, and McGill University’s Centre for Applied Mathematics in Bioscience and Medicine.
