POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS are available immediately at Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH),Clarke Division, University of Toronto.
Our current research mainly focuses on but is not limited to the identification of novel targets for the development of therapeutics (protein peptide/small molecules) for the treatment of psychiatric diseases such as major depression, schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorders, drug addiction and multiple sclerosis, as well as other neurological disorders. (Neuron 84(6): 1302-16, 2014; Nature Medicine 16(2): 1393-5, 2010). CAMH offers a unique and highly favourable environment to conduct multidisciplinary projects. The position will have excellent opportunity to collaborate with other strong researchers within the centre and affiliated institutes of University of Toronto.
The projects will involve multiple techniques ranging from receptor pharmacology, biochemistry, image microscopy, rodent model and surgery, rodent behavioural analysis. Self-motivated individuals trained in biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, immunohistochemistry, and animal behaviour are encouraged to apply. Experience in neurotransmitter receptors is preferred.
Competitive salary will be provided based on research experience. The contract is for one year and renewal will be under consideration based on performance.
