We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate with slice electrophysiology experience for a full-time position in the Developmental Systems Neuroscience lab (http://www.utsc.utoronto.ca/labs/arrudacarvalho/) under the supervision of Dr. Maithe Arruda Carvalho starting from Fall 2018 (start date is negotiable).
Our lab is located at the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto, in the scenic Scarborough Campus. The successful applicant will work on a Human Frontier Science Program-funded research project exploring the circuit basis of developmental changes in behaviour.
The successful applicant will have a PhD in Neuroscience or related field, and expertise in whole-cell patch clamping. Previous experience with stereotaxic surgery, in vitro/in vivo optogenetics and calcium imaging is highly desirable. The position is for two to three years pending performance within a 6-month probation period. Salaries will be in line with University postdoctoral stipend levels.
