One Post-Doc and One Student position, Toth Lab, Université Laval

Location: Toth Lab, CERVO Brain Research Centre, Université Laval, Quebec City

Anticipated Start Date: Fall 2017
Research is focused on understanding how information is processed by individual neurones and how this information is coded and translated by presynaptic terminals. Toward this aim we use electrophysiological and imaging techniques, some of which are currently being developed by our collaborators. This is an opportunity to participate in a research project that aims to answer fundamental questions about synaptic function and develop new tools to monitor voltage changes in subcellular elements. The projects are funded by the CIHR and the NIH.
The ideal candidate will have expertise and/or education in electrophysiology, preferably with patch-clamp technique and two-photon imaging.
Applications for the position can be made by emailing a cover letter, resume, and the contact information for two academic references to Katalin Toth at
