Every Thursday, starting July 9 at noon the Neurophotonics Centre will be hosting a pair of 30 min talks from up-and-coming leaders in the Canadian neurophotonics community.
July 30, 2020 at noon:
- Dr. Mihaela Iordanova holds the Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Behavioural Neuroscience at Concordia University and is this year’s recipient of the Young Investigator Award from the Canadian Association for Neuroscience. Her work combines optogenetics and behavioral modeling to understand how learning takes place in the brain.
- Dr. Alex Lohman is a new Assistant Professor at University of Calgary where his research uses innovative optogenetic approaches to study neuron-glia communication and inflammation.
