The Weston Brain Institute has announced the Weston Brain Institute Outstanding Achievement Award. This award is a $40,000 (CAD) prize to recognize exceptional Canadian investigators who have made significant advances in accelerating the development of therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases of aging, demonstrated leadership in the field, and are of high character.
The award is an opportunity to support research excellence, and to celebrate exceptional achievements in Canadian research.
Award Selection Criteria
The following criteria will be used to evaluate applications for this program:
The nominee must have made exceptional contributions to accelerating the development of therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases of aging, e.g.
The nominee’s research should be recognized internationally as being of the highest quality.
The nominee must have publications in significant, peer-reviewed journals.
The nominee must have a record of exceptional leadership in research for accelerating the development of neurodegenerative diseases of aging.
The nominee must have demonstrated impeccable integrity, high character and professionalism throughout his/her career.
