Post-doctoral position – MRI-guided focused ultrasound, brain plasticity, learning and memory, Alzheimer’s disease

A postdoctoral position is available immediately to study the effects of MRI-guided focused ultrasound and related treatments on brain functions, at University of Toronto, Sunnybrook Research Institute.

Candidates require a PhD and significant expertise in neuroscience, particularly regarding mouse behavioural studies, and including memory functions (e.g. Y-maze, Barnes’ maze, touchscreen operant platform), quantitative brain imaging, immunohistochemistry and biochemistry. A solid background in the fields of stem cells, neurogenesis, gene therapy, brain plasticity and neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer’s disease, is favourable.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, team oriented with leadership qualities, and a strong publication record as first author in neurosciences.
